Fun Facts

CB

Born and raised in Castelo Branco, moved to Lisbon to grow professionally.

28

Started coding at 28. It's never too late to learn.

AI

I use AI as a daily co-pilot: GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, automated workflows.

FT

Worked at the family business from 2020 to 2026, where I implemented AI solutions that won a national award.

UX

Obsessed with micro-interactions: every hover, transition and scroll animation is intentional.

Lessons

What I learned along the way.

5 lessons from someone who left a stable career to start from scratch.

01

Age is an excuse, not a limit.

I started coding after 25. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have started sooner. But what matters is that I started.

02

Learn by doing, not watching.

Tutorials are comfortable. Building is uncomfortable. But you only learn to solve real problems by building.

03

Your past is a competitive advantage.

Insurance, law, management... all of it gave me product vision, user empathy, and the ability to negotiate.

04

Perfection kills. Speed builds.

I shipped fast, iterated constantly. Imperfect code that solves problems is worth more than perfect code that never ships.

05

What drives you defines what you build.

I like solving real problems with technology. Every project is a chance to do better, to simplify complexity, and to create something with impact.
